Aki Ito

Digital technology editor
Aki Ito is a technology editor at Bloomberg in San Francisco. She oversees the digital reach of Bloomberg's technology coverage, as well as the technology team's social media strategy, daily newsletter and multimedia projects, which include two live video shows. She's also the co-host of Bloomberg's narrative-driven technology podcast, Decrypted.

Before her current role, she co-led the development of a new section of Bloomberg's economics coverage called Benchmark, and edited the section from its launch in January 2015 to June 2016. She also co-founded and co-hosted Bloomberg's first digital-original podcast Bloomberg Benchmark.

Aki started her career in journalism as an intern in Bloomberg's Tokyo bureau, where she went on to report on the Japanese economy and eventually the tsunami and nuclear disaster of 2011. She's a graduate of Middlebury College, and grew up in Tokyo and New York.
